Robbie Williams being lined up for The Voice

Robbie Williams is set to become a coach on ‘The Voice’.
The ‘Candy’ hitmaker is reportedly being lined up to claim a red spinning chair on the panel – currently filled by Boy George, Paloma Faith, Ricky Wilson and will.i.am – when the popular programme shifts from BBC to its rival ITV next year.
A source explained: "’The X Factor’ have been courting Robbie for years but ‘The Voice’ team think they have a better chance because their filming schedule is shorter, and it allows him to concentrate on other projects.
"They want to shake up the show’s dynamics and Robbie ticks all the boxes in terms of personality and experience."
And it seems the 42-year-old singer will be more inclined to take the gig on the soon-to-be revamped show as it will fit nicely around his plans to release his new album and tour.
The insider told The Daily Star newspaper: "The audition stage of ‘The Voice’ will be filmed later this year before live shows in 2017. It’s around the time his new album is due and would be a great platform to promote the new record."
And the former Take That hunk isn’t the only star in with a shot of joining the panel as Jason Derulo is also being lined up.
