Rob Kardashian is "upset" he missed his sister Kim’s wedding to Kanye West.
The 29-year-old star has recently returned to the spotlight after retreating away while he battled depression and has confirmed he decided against attending the lavish nuptials in Italy in May 2014 at the last minute because he was so uncomfortable with his ballooning weight.
He admitted: "I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding, and I just wasn’t comfortable. I’m 6’1″ and at my most I probably weighed 300 lbs
"There were cameras at the airport on our trip there and I was very unhappy with the person I saw in all the pictures.
"I’m upset I missed my sister’s wedding but it was a personal decision."
And Rob admitted he didn’t even want his family to see him at his heaviest, while his sister Khloe Kardashian – who he lived with before embarking on his relationship with now-fiancee Blac Chyna earlier this year – repeatedly urged him to change.
He told People magazine: "I wasn’t happy with myself so I didn’t want my family to see me that way. [Khloe and I] butt heads about it. She’s all about, ‘Your biggest revenge is your body,’ and I’m trying to find happiness in my own way."
Before Chyna and Rob got together, the 26-year-old beauty dated Tyga, who is now in a relationship with Rob’s half-sister Kylie Jenner.
And though there was tension at first, Chyna – who is pregnant with Rob’s first child – insists everything is "positive" between the four of them and she and the ‘Rack City’ hitmaker are happy for their three-year-old son King Cairo to spend time with the other’s partner.
She said: "We’ve all talked, I’ve met up with Kylie. Everybody is mature. We’re not holding on to grudges. We’ve moved on. Every family is going to be defensive in the beginning; I don’t care who you are or what the situation is – they’re going to be protective. But everything is positive now.
"I feel comfortable with Kylie being around my son, King, and I’m sure Tyga feels comfortable having King around Rob."
