Rita Wilson drops powerful new single Jury of One

Rita Wilson has released her stirring new single Jury of One, a raw and relatable ode to the pressure women feel to “do it all” — and the guilt that comes with it.

The track is the latest preview of the 69-year-old singer, actress and producer’s upcoming album Sound of a Woman, arriving May 1, and lands alongside a cinematic music video filmed at Storm King Art Center in New York.

Hollywood star Rita says Jury of One was born from a lifetime of apologising for simply existing under impossible expectations.

She admitted: “It’s so hard to devote my attention to something without feeling guilty about all the things I’m not doing.

“So many women apologise when we haven’t done anything wrong. It becomes habitual — sometimes it’s easier than standing up for something you believe in.”

Sound of a Woman marks the most revealing chapter of Rita’s musical career, co‑produced with nine‑time Grammy winner Dave Cobb and recorded at Nashville’s legendary RCA Studio A.

The album blends memoir and observation, tracing the emotional arc of a woman’s life while tapping into universal truths about identity, pressure and joy.

The Sleepless in Seattle star calls it a “revelatory excavation of the self,” pairing soul‑baring lyrics with lush, expansive production.

Ahead of the album, Rita has already released the title track, and this week she also announced a run of UK and European shows — including a headline slot at EFG London Jazz Festival, plus dates in Glasgow, Berlin, Hamburg and Amsterdam. Tickets for the London Jazz Festival show will go on sale soon, while all other dates are available now.
