Rita Ora tries to "blank out" Twitter abuse.
The ‘How We Do’ hitmaker has joined the judging panel of BBC One singing competition ‘The Voice’ and admits she will be checking to see what people have to say about her on the social networking site once the show kicks off on Saturday (10.01.15).
Speaking at the launch of the fourth series at the Mondrian London hotel, she told BANG Showbiz: "I check on it anyway but honestly any time I go on Twitter there’s always a good but always the bad as well and I try to just blank out what I don’t want and I take in what I want to keep.
"But I’m ready for the ups and downs but for me there’s only ups because it’s [the show] out now so I can’t do anything about it, I’m just happy I made this choice."
The 24-year-old star confessed she was worried about joining Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Ricky Wilson as a coach on the show because of the more "intense" scrutiny it would bring with it.
She explained: "It was like, you know what? I’m going to be an open book for the public and opinions are going to come out of everywhere. I mean I’ve already had them but this time it’s going to be ten times more intense."
However, Rita insists she remained true to herself during filming so as to not come across as fake.
The blonde beauty added: "I said to myself, ‘I can only be myself’. If I was to be someone else it would kind of come out that I was lying because you can’t do that for eight hours straight.
"I try to make everyone feel comfortable. It’s hard for me to hard how I feel."
‘The Voice’ series four starts on Saturday January 10 at 7pm on BBC One.
