Ricky Rayment and Marnie Simpson are engaged.
The 24-year-old former ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star proposed to his 22-year-old ‘Geordie Shore’ girlfriend during filming of the final episode of the 11th series of the Newcastle-based reality TV show earlier this month, and an insider has said the couple are "over the moon".
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the insider added: "Ricky came in for the last episode and that’s when he proposed to her. They’re really happy."
Ricky and Marnie have only been dating since January, following his split from fellow ‘TOWIE’ star Jess Wright in November after two and a half years, and Marnie is not expected to return to ‘Geordie Shore’ for the 12th series.
Marnie previously admitted she’d been thinking about quitting the show, as she was "nervous" about going into the ‘Geordie Shore’ house and not seeing Ricky for two months.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, she previously said: "I’m very nervous about it because I’m not going to have any contact with Ricky for like two months and, for me, that’s going to be so hard because I’m not going to be able to focus on what I’m supposed to be doing, because I’m going to be thinking about what he’s doing."
