Ricky Norwood’s ‘deep depression’

Ricky Norwood went into a "deep depression" after he was axed from ‘EastEnders’.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star – who played Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb for nearly six years in the soap – was initially suspended from the show for two months after a video emerged of him smoking cannabis and performing a sex act, but his character was killed off on Christmas Day last year (25.12.15).
Speaking in the ‘CBB’ house, Ricky told housemate Renee Graziano he had been "sold out" by a "particular woman".
He added: "I went into deep depression. I didn’t want to leave my house. I got suspended from my job for two months; I held my hands up.
"When it came to the end of the contract, it was end of the contract. Normally I’d get a renewal."
Despite becoming depressed, Ricky admitted he was "happy" overall that he spent so long on ‘EastEnders’.
He added: "I was only supposed to be there for three months, I was there just under six years."
A BBC statement said at the time: "Ricky Norwood has been suspended from the show for a period of two months with immediate effect.
"In addition, Ricky would like to apologise to EastEnders’ viewers for any offence caused and for bringing the show into disrepute."
This comes after Ricky’s former ‘EastEnders’ co-star Danny Dyer – who plays Mick Carter – backed him to win the show and admitted it was a "shame" he had to appear on ‘CBB’ to earn his money.
When asked by a fan on Twitter who he wants to win the series, he tweeted: "Gotta be Ricky. Wasted talent. Shame he had to go down this route. I get it though…..Gotta earn them readies. (sic)"
