Rick Parfitt has suspected heart attack

Rick Parfitt has suffered a suspected heart attack.
The Status Quo rocker – who collapsed last year while on holiday in Croatia and suffered two other similar attacks in 1997 and 2011 – was taken to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday (15.06.16) morning following a gig at Expo 2016 in Antalya, Turkey.
His management said in a statement: "While his condition is serious, he has already demanded his customary cup of tea with two sugars and a sweetener."
The band’s manager, Simon Porter, added: "No further comment will be made at this stage until the completion of the next round of tests and assessments to be made over the next few days."
We would ask you to respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time."
The 67-year-old guitarist – who has three children and is married to Lyndsay Whitburn – has suffered a string of health problems, including a throat cancer scare in 2005.
In 2014, Status Quo had to cancel a series of gigs after the musician was ordered to rest following surgery to correct a problem with the heart bypass he underwent in 1997.
However, the ‘Whatever You Want’ hitmaker recently said he believes he can "survive anything".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "Having survived my heart attacks and got healthier, it shows how resilient I am. If I am strong enough to get through them I reckon I can survive anything."
Status Quo announced earlier this year their 2016 European tour will be their last electric performances.
And Rick admitted performing live "hurts physically" now and although he is sad that Status Quo’s rock shows are coming to an end, he accepts they cannot continue.
He said: "We always thought we’d see a red light when it was time to stop. The show hurts now, physically. It’s hard to maintain that level of energy and without that it’s not really a Quo show. So we don’t feel we should continue. This is definitely the end of our lives on the road with the electric set, life won’t be the same for us – or many of the fans – but we can’t go on at this pace any more."
