Rick Astley wants to take Hollyoaks’ Kim camping

Rick Astley wants to take Hollyoaks’ Kim Butterfield camping in a wigwam in Devon.
The 52-year-old singer has dropped another hint that he could make an appearance in the Channel 4 soap in person after Kim – played by Daisy Wood-Davis – sought solace in a poster of the ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ hitmaker for the past six months, and he already has an idea for a plot.
When asked what he would say to Kim, Rick told the ‘Hollyoaks’ Twitter account: "I’d say let’s go camping in Devon … in a wigwam. And we’ll barbeque every night and we’ll just talk it through, until you’re free of it."
This comes after Daisy revealed she and Rick have become "best mates" since they met for the first time last week.
She said: "I’ve got something really exciting for you guys – I want to introduce you to someone who means a lot to me and a lot to Kim … it’s Rick!
"We’re just hanging out. We’re bessies now. I’ve had the best night ever."
Rick added: "I haven’t given her up and I haven’t let her down."
When asked how it feels to be Kim’s guardian angel, he replied: "It feels like I’m in the right place, that’s what it feels like."
This comes after Daisy previously revealed she had sent Rick "several tweets" to try to convince him to make a cameo appearance in the soap as a result of his poster making a big appearance in her latest storyline.
She said: "I’ve tweeted him several times, but he hasn’t replied.
"I was hoping he’d make a cameo in the show – it would be great to have him as a figment of Kim’s imagination."
Kim turned to the singing legend’s poster after she was kidnapped by Ryan Knight (Duncan James) and locked up in the school.
