Ric Flair is fit enough to wrestle but won’t ever return to the ring

Ric Flair "won’t" wrestle again.
The 68-year-old grappler was given just a 20 per cent chance of survival after he was hospitalised last August with stomach pains, which later turned out to be the early stages of kidney failure and heart failure, due to years of alcohol abuse.
But while Ric is feeling "great" and is back in the gym, he doesn’t think he’ll get the "opportunity" to get back in the ring.
Speaking to the Blast, he said: "I feel great, man. Yes I am back in the gym. No I won’t wrestle again. I can’t get crazy but I’m getting there. I think I’ll be able to physically wrestle but it won’t happen. They won’t give me that opportunity."
But Ric has joked, even though he’s not in the ring, his skills still come in handy as he gets to "wrestle" with his partner Wendy Barlow "every night."
He quipped: "I wrestle with her every night."
The legendary sportsman spent 10 days on life support after his intestines ruptured and, following the health scare, he’s since decided to put the bottle down for good and he’s adamant he doesn’t miss it.
He said recently: "Obviously I’m still self-conscious of what I went through and somehow in the course of every day I’m reminded of it by a television show I watch or someone asking me a question. It’s fresh in my mind.
"10 days on life support is not where anyone wants to be with a 20 percent chance to live, which I wasn’t aware of.
"I don’t miss it [alcohol] at all. It’s funny, people ask me that, I don’t even think about it. I feel great, I’ve gained back 25lbs, I can work out now, I’m fine."
