Renee Zellweger learnt ‘personal’ things on hiatus

Renee Zellweger learned "personal" things about herself during her hiatus.
The 47-year-old actress stepped out of the spotlight for six years before returning to make ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’, and though she admits her time away was beneficial and educational, she doesn’t want to make the reasons why public just yet.
Asked what she’d learned about herself, she told Heat magazine: "I can’t say. I wish I could tell you. Two reasons, one of them is too personal. And another one of them I am working on and I would much rather do it than just talk about it."
During her break, the ‘Cold Mountain’ star created a TV show called ‘Cinema Girl’ but it wasn’t picked up for syndication, but Renee insists she wasn’t too disappointed.
She said of the project: "We filmed it. It was a pilot and that was it. It’s OK.
"Some of the girls have gone on and done great things. A couple of them are in other shows now and that was part of the point – it was to find new talent and give it a push.
"The impetus to do it was to see if we could. It was something that I had thought about doing since I was in college.
"The idea evolved and I got my partners involved. We saw if we could come up with an idea and get a treatment together, get the agency as partners and if we could sell it.
"We kept getting past these different markers and it was a triumph in so many respects that I can’t be disappointed that it didn’t get ultimately picked up.
"The template for it is successful for so many other shows. That is pretty exciting to know. We’re on to something!"
