Reese Witherspoon splits from producing partner

Reese Witherspoon and her producing partner Bruna Papandrea are going their separate ways.
The 40-year-old actress and 45-year-old producer co-founded the Pacific Standard production company in 2012 under the proviso that it would nurture and produce films that were female driven.
The pair had huge success with their first project 2014’s ‘Gone Girl’ which earned its leading lady, Rosamund Pike a host of award nominations and a very respectable box office.
In the same year they also produced ‘Wild’, which starred Reese in the lead role as a woman undertaking an epic hike on a voyage of self discovery.
Much like ‘Gone Girl’ the film attracted a number of nominations for Reese’s lead performance and garnered widespread critical acclaim.
Bruna is now setting up her own venture, while Reese will continue heading up Pacific Standard, however, they will continue working together on the projects the company already has in development.
In a statement on the split, Reese said: "I’m very proud of the projects that Bruna and I have produced together. Bruna is a hard-working, extremely talented producer. I’m happy to further collaborate with her on the strong slate of Pacific Standard properties."
The pair still has a number of uncompleted projects that they will complete including the films ‘Luckiest Girl Alive’, ‘All Is Not Forgotten’ and ‘Barbie and Ruth’.
They also have a HBO miniseries in development, ‘Big Little Lies’ starring Reese, Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman and Zoe Kravitz, which they will continue to work on together.
