Rebel Wilson too busy for long Absolutely Fabulous stint

Rebel Wilson could only film ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ for one day.
The 36-year-old actress previously admitted she begged for a role in the big screen adaptation of the British comedy series, but by the time shooting came along, she was too "famous and brilliant" to have much space in her schedule for a bigger part.
The movie’s star, Joanna Lumley, revealed to Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O: "By the time we actually got around to asking her she was so famous and so brilliant that she had literally a day she could give us, I think it was our last filming day."
Rebel’s friend and former flatmate Matt Lucas first asked Joanna and her co-star Jennifer Saunders if his pal could be in the movie long before she became a household name.
Joanna recalled: "Years ago she was sharing an apartment in LA with Matt Lucas and he said to me, ‘Oh my flatmate Rebel, she’s called Rebel Wilson’, because no one knew who she was those days.
"She’s a big fan and if you ever do anything can she be in it?" and I said ‘Of course, of course!’ "
Rebel previously admitted she would have done anything to land a cameo in the film.
She said: "I emailed and said, ‘If you need me for anything I’ll be there.’ I full out got down on my knees and begged. There’s no level to which I wouldn’t have gone to."
And the Australian actress admitted the show used to distract her when she was supposed to be working.
She previously said: "When I was a teenager, I was working in a video shop and I’d put on ‘Ab Fab’ instead of working.
"Jennifer Saunders was the first woman I ever saw on TV who wrote and performed her own material. I’d never seen a woman do that before."
