Rebel Wilson "tasted a lot" of Ben Stiller when they filmed ‘Night At The Museum: Secret of the Tomb’ together.
The Australian actress had to kiss Ben’s alter ego, Neanderthal Laa, in the upcoming comedy film and claims his lips tasted odd.
Speaking at a press conference to promote the film in London today (15.12.14), she told BANG Showbiz: "I tasted a lot of Ben Stiller. He tasted a lot like rubbing alcohol.
She jokingly added: "He was very precious about our kissing, it was quite romantic and passionate."
Stiller – who as well as playing Laa also reprises his role as museum night guard Larry Daley for a third time – defended the taste of his lips, saying: "I did have prosthetics lips on."
Wilson also claimed they were lots of smooching scenes that they couldn’t use in the final cut because they were too graphic.
She quipped: "There was some racier stuff between me and Laa which had to be cut. If an R-rated version is released then (you’ll see it). I loved Laa’s muscles which you don’t get to see when Ben plays Larry, because he’s wearing a jacket all the time but when he plays Laa it’s like, arms out, they’re just there."
Stiller again interjected, saying: "We were trying to push the boundaries of the movie … (Those muscles) were when I was in character training six hours a day…"
Other cast members at the event included Owen Wilson, Sir Ben Kingsley, Dan Stevens and the film’s director Shawn Levy.
‘Night At The Museum: Secret of the Tomb’ is in cinemas from December 19.
