Rebecca Humphries "is glad" photographs of Seann Walsh and Katya Jones kissing were leaked.
The actress is happy photos emerged of her ex-boyfriend smooching his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro partner in October, despite being in a relationship with her at the time, because she wouldn’t have known she is "not crazy".
Speaking on ‘The Hotbed’ podcast, she said: "I’m glad that it happened this way, because otherwise I would never have known that I am not crazy.
"So I’m glad it came out, I know I’m embroiled in this television’s programme’s history now, I obviously thought it would be because I went on it and won it!
"But it’s just my circumstance and I can’t feel bitter about it, I can’t feel angry or vengeful about it, it’s just how it is, really."
Following the emergence of the pictures, Rebecca released a letter online, revealing she had dumped the comedian and was taking custody of their pet cat.
But the single star has admitted she did not ditch 33-year-old Seann solely based on his and Katya’s kiss.
She said: "I’m not this puritanical Mary Whitehouse character who thinks that snogging someone when they’re drunk is not OK under any circumstance.
"I’m absolutely not perfect and I’m also an actress and I’ve experienced watching these sorts of things happen in professional environments myself as well, as an observer, I should say, so I know it can happen.
"I know these things happen but I hope that it’s clear that I wasn’t responding to that particular incident; it was the attempt by a person to make me question myself in order to get away with doing whatever they liked."
Seann recently insisted he doesn’t think he did anything "that wrong" when he kissed Katya, claiming his and Rebecca’s relationship was "coming to an end" anyway.
He said: "F***ing hell. I only agreed to do it [‘Strictly’] to get out of watching it. For f***’s sake.
"I will tell you this and we will stop talking about it. But look, I don’t really need to explain myself but I will anyway.
"I was coming towards the end of my relationship, I was getting on with this girl.
"You spend a lot of time with your dance partner on the show and we went for a drink and one thing led to the other. Most of you have seen the result.
"I actually started to think to myself, ‘Hang on, have I actually done anything that wrong?’"
