Ray Winstone loves his skin-tight gold swimming trunks.
The 57-year-old film star wore the eye-catching trunks in the cult gangster movie ‘Sexy Beast’, which was released in 2000, and Ray has been a big fan of them ever since – although he admits they are in a poor condition these days.
Ray confirmed he no longer wears the trunks on the beach because they reveal too much of his body for his liking.
He shared: "They kind of wore away.
"When you dive in the pool they become see through."
This comes after Ray admitted he’s just a "dad", not a "hardman".
The Brit has a reputation for being a tough guy due to his roles in gritty movies like ‘Nil By Mouth’ and ‘London Boulevard’, but Ray insists he’s nothing like his on-screen characters.
He explained: "People write things like I’m a hardman, they just write things like that.
"I’m not like that – I’m a dad. I’ve got three daughters. I look after my family and that’s that. I’m not a hardman."
Ray has three children – Lois, actress Jaime and Ellie – and a wife of 36 years, Elaine.
