Rachel Riley underwent Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Rachel Riley had therapy in the past.
The ‘Countdown’ star underwent Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – which is commonly used to treat anxiety and depression – and admitted it has been a big help in her life.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "I had CBT a few years ago. I didn’t know I was a perfectionist. Perfectionists tend to pull everything they do apart and focus on the negatives.
"But if you decide what you want to achieve before you do something, then once you’ve achieved that goal, you can feel positive about what you’ve done.
"Nowadays, before I do anything, I think of what a good outcome would be."
The 32-year-old star has been open about her experience with CBT, and earlier this month she revealed how the therapy helped during her time on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2013.
She recently said: "I didn’t think about any of these issues until I was on ‘Strictly’. For the first time ever I spoke to someone who gave me CBT and from there I learnt the power and the use of talking to someone."
Rachel also urged people suffering with mental health problems to talk about it, and said companies needed to provide care for employees.
She explained: "How you think about things. How you view what you do yourself. How it can make you happier and better and in the workplace.
"You know, stress, loss of sleep, having your mind elsewhere is costing billions to the industry as well. So not only is it a benefit to the individual, it is a benefit for the companies that provide help for people."
