Queen named Living Legends at Classic Rock Awards

Queen were named ‘living legends’ at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards.

The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ hitmaker’s were honoured with the award tonight (11.11.15) at the star-studded ceremony at The Roundhouse in Camden, London.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz on the red carpet, Brian May said: "These accolades still mean a lot; that people care enough to vote for us to win after all these years, it’s incredible."

Other winners on the night included AC/DC, who were crowned Band Of The Year, whilst Led Zeppelin was handed Reissue Of The Year.

Jimmy Page shared: "I’m getting rewarded tonight for three years of work. It’s taken that amount because the releases were in four steps. I wanted to do the reissues because I knew I had in my archive old gems of material that spanned the whole of Led Zeppelin’s career and I really wanted to put out a companion disc to each of the original albums, in effect it doubles up the amount of material that’s out there."

Album Of The Year went to Iron Maiden’s ‘The Book Of Souls’ whilst Europe were given the Comeback Award.
