Queen Elizabeth’s Windsor Castle is ready for Christmas

Queen Elizabeth’s Windsor Castle has already been kitted out with festive decorations.
The 91-year-old monarch will no doubt be blown away when she returns to the royal residence in Berkshire, south east England, over the next coming weeks as her staff have already turned the plush building into a grotto after kitting it out with 20ft Christmas tree.
According to the Express.co.uk, the enormous Nordmann Fir, which was sourced from nearby Great Windsor Park, has been erected in St George’s Hall at the estate.
According to the photographs, obtained by the website, the monarch has gone with a gold and red theme this year as the tree has been decorated in crown-shaped baubles and a generous dashing on tinsel, as well as twinkling white fairy lights and huge velvet bows.
But that’s not the only tree the royal family have put up, as they’ve got a second – this one being 15ft – erected in the Crimson Drawing Room with just red decorations.
The castle’s State Dining Table has been decorated with silver pieces from the Monarch’s Grand Service, while beautiful festive gold creations have been scattered across the cloth.
It’s believed the monarch will spend Christmas Day surrounded by her family – including her eldest son Prince Charles and possibly her great-grandchildren Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two – at Sandringham Palace in Norfolk, England.
The monarch will also deliver her annual Christmas speech to the nation in the afternoon.
