Queen Elizabeth’s security details found on USB stick

A security breach at Heathrow Airport has revealed the route the Queen takes when flying.
The information has been discovered on a USB stick that has been found on the streets of London, according to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, which reports that officials fear the data may already have been shared on the dark web.
As well as revealing the route the Queen takes on a plane, the USB also details the extra security that’s put in place to keep her safe and the timetables of her guards’ patrols.
A source told the publication: "In the wrong hands this would represent a profound threat in terms of terrorism or espionage."
It has been reported, too, that the USB drive was not password protected and documents weren’t encrypted, either.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Heathrow Airport said: "Heathrow’s top priority is the safety and security of our passengers and colleagues.
"The UK and Heathrow have some of the most robust aviation security measures in the world and we remain vigilant to evolving threats by updating our procedures on a daily basis. We have reviewed all of our security plans and are confident that Heathrow remains secure.
"We have also launched an internal investigation to understand how this happened and are taking steps to prevent a similar occurrence in future."
Heathrow Airport is situated in West London and is one of the busiest transport hubs in the world.
