Britain’s Queen Elizabeth is planning to amend state prayers to include Duchess Camilla.
The 88-year-old monarch – who is Supreme Governor of the Church of England – reportedly considered making the change ahead of her son Prince Charles and the duchess’ 10th wedding anniversary last month, but decided not to go ahead at that time.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "The queen is waiting for the right moment."
At present, the state prayers mention only Charles and the queen’s husband, Prince Philip, by name.
The prayer reads: "Almighty God, the fountain of all goodness, we humbly beseech thee to bless, Philip Duke of Edinburgh, Charles Prince of Wales, and all the Royal Family.
"Endue them with thy Holy Spirit; enrich them with thy heavenly grace; prosper them with all happiness; and bring them to thine everlasting kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
The state prayer for the royal family was last amended in 2002 following the death of Elizabeth, the Queen mother.
Charles – who was previously married to the late Princess Diana – will inherit the title of Supreme Governor of the Church of England when he ascends to the throne.
