Queen Elizabeth looking for cleaner

Queen Elizabeth is looking for a new cleaner.
The 90-year-old monarch has placed an advert for someone to make sure her historic vases and "irreplaceable paintings" stay in tip-top condition at her official Scottish residence, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, with the successful candidate in line for £8,580 a year.
An advert placed on the Royal website states: "It is delivering extraordinary service in incredible surroundings.
"You’ll work in all areas of the Palace, including the public visitor route, staff offices and State rooms, ensuring they’re presented to their best for colleagues, visitors and, of course, the Royal Family.
"Aiming for the highest standards, you’ll clean and care for interiors and items, from restrooms, carpets and furniture, to historic vases and irreplaceable paintings.
"And, in an environment where development and training is commonplace, you’ll be able to grow your skills within your role."
The position is for 20 hours over five days a week and applications close on October 29.
Keen applicants who don’t have any previous cleaning experience need not worry as it is "by no means essential".
The ad states: "Housekeeping or cleaning experience would be an asset, but is by no means essential. We’re more interested in your outstanding team working skills.
"This is your opportunity to use your enthusiasm and passion to deliver the exceptional."
