Queen Elizabeth attracts US tourists to the UK

Queen Elizabeth brings the most US tourists to London.
The 90-year-old monarch topped the list for the ultimate dream tour guide for visitors to the UK in a study conducted by London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s promotional company, London & Partners.
The Queen was followed closely behind by the younger royals – Prince William, Duchess Catherine and Prince Harry – whilst Adele and David Beckham placed third and fourth respectively.
Whilst Buckingham Palace tops the list of "bucket experiences" tourists want to achieve when visiting the UK, a visit to the Tower of London or seeing the view through Tower Bridge’s glass floor also placed high. Others revealed enjoying a curry in Brick Lane and seeing the location on the Thames where Daniel Craig shot ‘SPECTRE’ were some of their bucket experiences.
Khan said: "Our city’s world-class museums, galleries and exhibitions have firmly positioned London as one of the most welcoming and culturally rich cities to visit. Not only does our unique cultural scene make a substantial and vital contribution to our city’s economic prosperity, but I’m delighted to see that London’s creative sector plays such an important role in entertaining tourists from home and across the Atlantic.
"The many millions of visitors who come here time and time again are sending out a clear signal that London is truly open to everyone, and this is the message we will continue to send around the world."
