Queen Elizabeth and three future Kings honoured on one coin

Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George are all set to feature on a historic Royal family £5 coin.
The 91-year-old monarch and three generations of future Kings – including her son Charles, his son William, and William’s son George – are being honoured by the Royal Mint on a new £5 coin which shows their initials E, C, W and G, and three crowns, for a new collection dubbed The Four Generations of Royalty Collection.
The collection marks the first time all four royals have appeared together on coinage, and includes editions struck in gold and silver, finished to Proof, and a Brilliant Uncirculated edition.
In a statement, the Royal Mint said: "With the 65th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen’s coronation, His Royal Highness the Prince of wales’s 70th birthday, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge’s fifth birthday, and a royal wedding to look forward to, 2018 is a busy year of celebrations for the ever-growing Royal Family.
"To celebrate four generations of royalty making history together, the Queen, her son the Prince of wales, her grandson His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge, and her great-grandson Prince George of Cambridge are honoured together for the first time in a coin collection produced by the Royal Mint."
The impressive coins range from £13 to £8,450 depending on the value of the material used to make the coin, and the official reverse design – which represents the heritage of the House of Windsor – has been created by heraldic artist Timothy Noad.
According to the Royal Mint website, the coin has been released in honour of the "many memorable royal occasions" set to take place in 2018, which is set to include the birth of Prince William’s third child, the marriage of Prince William and Meghan Marke, and the marriage of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
The website reads: "The Royal Mint enjoys a very special relationship with the Royal Family, marking the important milestones in their lives for the nation. The year 2018 will be remembered for its many memorable royal occasions and, as we enjoy these happy events, we celebrate four generations of royalty coming together to share the times with us."
The £5 Brilliant Uncirculated version of the coin costs £13, the UK £5 Silver Proof Coin £82.50, the UK £5 Silver Proof Piedfort Coin £155, and the UK Gold Five-Ounce Coin £8,450.
