Professor Green to star in Murder in Successville

Professor Green has joined the cast of ‘Murder in Successville’.
The 33-year-old rapper – whose real name Stephen Manderson – is just one of the new rookie recruits, alongside Richard Osman and Reggie Yates, to give DI Sleet more crimes to solve in the world of celebrity.
Pro Green showed his delight at starring on the show by tweeting links to the BBC announcement to his 62.2k Twitter followers on Thursday (02.02.17) and teased a photo of himself wearing a police uniform on his Instagram with the caption: "Moral dilemma. Don’t worry guys I’m filming for bbcthree and @BigTomD ‘s #murderinsuccessville. (sic)"
BAFTA Burberry Hotshot 2016 Tom Davis, who plays DI Sleet, leads the comedy entertainment show with his hapless yet loveable detective skills.
Speaking about the line up, Tom said: "I’m over the moon to be jumping in my Capri gear and heading back to ‘Successville’, it’s time to serve up a justice burger with a side order of fun with five brand new sidekicks."
It’s understood that filming has already started on what will be the third series of the BBC Three show which has seen the likes of Vicky Pattison, Mark Wright and Emma Bunton star in previous episodes.
During every episode, a guest celebrity joins him to solve the crime, without a script to follow and no idea what awaits them.
The series will return with six more episodes this year, with Pro Green, Richard and Reggie the first to be announced.
Damian Kavanagh, Controller, BBC Three said: "How exciting! I’m sure fans of this hit BBC Three show will be thrilled to hear that DI Sleet is heading back to ‘Successville’ with a new cohort of sidekicks to investigate more crimes."
The new run follows two series broadcast in 2015 and 2016, both of which won considerable critical and audience acclaim.
Pinki Chambers, BBC commissioning editor for the series added: "Expect much hilarity as our celebrities become rookie police officers and put their sleuthing skills to the test."
More names will be announced in due course.
