Monaco’s Princess Charlene is set to be honoured with two stamps.
The former Olympic swimmer – who married Prince Albert in 2011 – will feature on the stamps which are set to be issued by Monaco’s Office des Timbres on December 3.
Designed by Stefanie Van Zyl and engraved by Elsa Catelin, the €1.60 stamp will feature a portrait of Charlene – who represented South Africa in the Olympics – with a bouquet of proteas, the national flower of South Africa in the background
The €0.68 stamp contains a picture of a rose named after the princess and created by Meilland International.
According to the Office des Timbres: "The luxuriant rose blooms with a beautiful display of pastel shades, and its pale pink flowers, with their delicately sweet scent, each have around 68 petals."
Meanwhile, Charlene recently revealed that her and Albert’s twins, 11-month-old Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, are already starting to develop very distinctive personalities.
She explained: "Jacques is a real boss. He’s grown a lot and seems to have taken after his father. He only needs a little sleep, and he’s looking around all the time.
"He’s very observant and has developed a real protective side, which he directs towards his sister Gabriella. They interact in their own little world. It’s amazing to watch them.
"We’ve noticed, funnily enough, that Gabriella is developing a real princess attitude. I can tell you that her favourite colour is pink and that ‘no’ is a word she doesn’t like."
