Princess Anne visits Dorset hospital

Britain’s Princess Anne paid a visit to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset yesterday (22.03.16).
The 65-year-old royal – the daughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip – stopped by the medical centre for the official opening of the new Jigsaw Building, which houses advanced facilities for the treatment of cancer and blood disorders.
Speaking at the event in front of a crowd of supporters, according to the Dorset Echo newspaper, she said: "My thanks for all of you who make this possible, because when bringing together these elements with these changes you do need to think how you provide these treatments. It’s nice to see how the hospital has evolved and is evolving."
The Princess was given a tour of the multi-million pound building before she stopped by the chemotherapy unit to chat to patients receiving treatment.
Patient Brian Ellison, 64, told the publication of his chat with Anne: "She asked how long I have been coming here and what do I think of the facilities, and I said it is marvellous. You have got privacy but you are not isolated."
And Kate Foxall, 32, added: "She asked whether I had been here before. It’s a nice building. It’s lovely. Bright and I love the big pictures and it feels less clinical."
