Princes lives threatened by ‘ginger extremist’

A "ginger extremist" plotted to kill Britain’s Prince Charles to make Prince Harry king.

The heir to the throne and his son Prince William’s lives were threatended by Mark Colborne, 37, who wrote down plans to assassinate them so that the Prince of Wales’ second son Prince Harry could become king "for the Aryan people".

Colborne – who felt bullied for being a white, ginger-haired, man and suffered from agoraphobia and depression – was arrested last year and found guilty of preparing terrorist attacks at the Old Bailey.

His notebooks were used as evidence against him in court because they described the acts of murder and terrorism.

Colborne wrote: ‘I don’t want to be a serial killer. I’m more of an Anders Breivik.

"I was waiting for an opportunity to kill one of them. Let it be Prince Charles which would be good."

He added: "Take up a good position and put a bullet in Charles’s head. He is protected but not too protected. I would sacrifice my life for that one shot. Kill Charles and William and Harry become king. Kill the tyrants."

Prosecutor Annabel Darlow QC said the notes showed hatred for non-Aryans who Colborne referred to as "blacks and Caucasian idiots".

Judge John Bevan QC adjourned sentencing Colborne until November 3 but said that it was a "very strange" case and the defendant was "very strange person".
