Prince WIlliam to support Mental Health sufferers

Britain’s Prince William wants to focus on helping mental health suffers when he finishes his two years at East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The heir to the throne has already been on secret visits to see young people suffering from mental health related issues to see how he can assist and at this stage it is just "exploratory" for the Duke of Cambridge.

A royal aide said: "It is an area which the Duke is starting to explore as to whether he can help in any way in that sector, while recognising that there are an awful lot of people doing a lot of great work around it already. So it is quite exploratory at the moment."

A key area William thinks he will be able to help with is dealing with grief as he lost his own mother Princess Diana when he was just 15.

A source previously told the Sunday Times newspaper: "When he spends time with them he finds that, partly based on his own experiences, he is able to connect deeply with them and help have a positive impact."

Britain’s Catherine Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are also strong supporters of charities helping those suffering from depression and other related ailments.

A source told PEOPLE magazine: "Mental well-being is an area which both the Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry are interested in."

The 33-year-old Princess is a strong supporter of children’s mental health and is a patron of Place2Be – a provider of emotional support for school children.
