Prince William to attend homeless charity event

Prince William will attend a charity event featuring performances by Phil Collins and Craig David.
The 34-year-old star will head to the Centrepoint at the Palace event in the grounds of Kensington Palace on November 10, where Phil and Craig will take to the stage as well as Ellie Goulding and Dirty Vegas.
Centrepoint – a charity which aims to create a better life for homeless people – is hosting its second ever Centrepoint Awards during the evening, which will be hosted by TV presenter Jonathan Ross.
William will present the accolades to youngsters whose lives have been helped by the charity, and he will also deliver a speech at the event.
Phil – who recently announced a comeback tour – admitted he is "delighted" to be able to perform at the awards bash.
He said: "30 years ago I wrote Another Day in Paradise in response to the shocking number of people sleeping on the streets.
"It’s just depressing to think that the number of young people finding themselves rough sleeping, with all the terror and danger that brings, has more than doubled over the last five years. I’m delighted to be performing in support of Centrepoint and their amazing work in helping homeless young people."
Richard Utting, event director at Centrepoint, said: "Phil Collins is a true music legend so it’s fantastic to have him on a bill of seriously talented performers for Centrepoint at the Palace – an unmissable evening’s entertainment for a hugely important cause.
"We need to make sure homeless young people continue to get the support they deserve and the opportunities they need to build a future for themselves."
