Britain’s Prince William responded to an emergency road collision on Thursday (24.09.15).
The 33-year-old royal was one of the air ambulance responders to arrive at the scene of the crash on Watford Road in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, after an ambulance collided with a car.
William was spotted by bystanders in a yellow helicopter which helped transport a man in his early 50s to the Royal London Hospital in London after suffering serious injuries.
Three other injuries were sustained in the collision, it’s believed, including a female with a head injury who was taken to Watford Hospital, reports the Watford Observer.
The future king – father to Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, four months – caused a frenzy when a group of school students from West Herts College noticed him in Cassiobury Park.
Lecturer Jirapa Harding said: "The students were very impressed, but weren’t allowed any selfies."
It was announced this week that William and younger brother Prince Harry, 31, will appear on a special episode of BBC One’s ‘DIY SOS’.
