Prince William meets veterans

Prince William shared a joke with an RAF veteran as he attended the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The 35-year-old royal chatted with veterans at the event at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire to mark the 60th anniversary of the BBMF.
Veteran pilot Rusty Waughman spoke to the Duke of Cambridge and shared: "He was so easy to talk to, so pleasant. Being here brings back so many memories."
Maurice Snowball, 95, who was a Lancaster flight engineer, also had a chance to speak to the Prince and added: "He sat on the chair next to me and I said I hope you don’t mind sitting there as I can only hear with my right ear, so you’re on my right side.
"He said that’s all right. He asked me how I got on flying and I said I enjoyed it, it was a good crew that we were in."I said the best memory I’ve got was the Operation Manna food drops and I told him about that."
During the event, there was an air display, which featured a Lancaster, three Spitfires and a Hurricane all flown by serving RAF aircrew.
Group Captain Mike Baulkwill and Squadron Leader Andrew Millikin were also on hand to give speeches, where they spoke about the significance of the anniversary.
Prince William – who has Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, two, with his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge – is a patron of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
