Prince William is a fan of The Apprentice

Britain’s Prince William admits he’s a fan of ‘The Apprentice’.

The 31-year-old royal presented Karren Brady, who worked as a co-star alongside Lord Sugar on the show, with a CBE yesterday (18.03.14) at Buckingham Palace in London, but he couldn’t help but ask when the reality programme would be back on screens.

Karren is quoted by the Daily Express newspaper as saying: "He asked me when ‘The Apprentice’ was coming back on. I know that he and the Duchess of Cambridge are big fans of the show."

Karren – who is the vice chairman of West Ham United Football Club – told William that the show would be back on TV in the autumn, and then they both engaged in an intense soccer chat.

She explained: "The Duke of Cambridge is a fanatical football fan. He was still very pleased that his team, Aston Villa, beat Chelsea. So we had a good talk about that.

"He asked me if I would like to leave West Ham and go and work for Aston Villa. Unfortunately, I said not."

The businesswoman also admitted she didn’t tell her family about receiving the honour and they only found out when they read it in the newspaper.

She said "It has been difficult over the 20 years, things are getting better. But I think if women like me don’t campaign for other women who’s going to do it, so I take it seriously."
