Prince Harry told off by security at flypast

Britain’s Prince Harry got told off by security at the Battle of Britain flypast in West Sussex yesterday (15.09.15)

The 31-year-old royal found himself in a spot of bother with event staff after he and his team set off on foot to view a fighter aircraft, situated beside the runway, at the Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex, South East England.

Security guards rushed up to the flame-haired hunk – the grandson of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth – as he was about to cross the grass path and screamed at him to back off because a small jet was preparing to land within minutes.

The Prince was then given the go-ahead to cross the runway in order to inspect the fighter plane before take off.

A total of 33 Spitfires, Hurricanes and Blenheims – the most amount of fighter planes seen at once since WW2 – flew over the several airfields used during the war in honour of the 75th anniversary of victory in the Battle of Britain.

Harry, who celebrated his birthday yesterday, was joined by servicemen and women who had been training to fly the fighter jets as part of the Spitfire Scholarship.

A service was also held at St Paul’s Cathedral in London to commemorate the 75th anniversary.

Meanwhile, the handsome Prince has just returned to the UK after spending the summer months working on conservation projects in South Africa.
