Prince Harry to visit Leeds

Prince Harry is set to visit Leeds next month.
The 32-year-old royal will visit the northern English city on July 6 as he is set to appear as a guest at a special event which aims to acknowledge the city’s efforts toward mental health projects.
Harry will meet representatives of charities which have received grants from the Leeds Fund, and will then address an audience of senior business leaders when he attends the Leeds Leads: Encouraging Happy Young Minds event hosted by Leeds Community Foundation at Aspire.
Whilst at the event, the flame-haired prince will also help celebrate the work done by the city’s mental health projects, which have helped a number of local young people.
During his trip to Leeds, Prince Harry will visit Headingley Carnegie Stadium for his first engagement in his new role as patron of the Rugby Football League, where he will be joined by former Leeds Rhinos star Kevin Sinfield, and current players Kallum Watkins and Ryan Hall.
Whilst there, the royal will watch children from seven Leeds primary schools will take part in seven-a-side games of touch rugby led by coaches from the Leeds Rhinos Foundation as part of the Sky Try programme.
The following day, Prince Harry will conduct a number of engagements on behalf of charity WellChild, of which he is the royal patron.
Harry will visit the family home of a five-year-old Leeds boy who will receive a garden makeover as part of the organisation’s Helping Hands programme, which will transform the area into an active outdoor space suited to his condition and disability.
After visiting Leeds Children’s Hospital to meet WellChild nurse Helen Tooby and a group of her patients, Prince Harry will round off his trip to West Yorkshire with a visit to the Haribo sweet factory.
