Prince Harry interviews Barack Obama for Radio 4’s Today show

Prince Harry threatened to give Barack Obama "the face" if he gave long pauses in between answers during their radio interview.
The 33-year-old royal has pre-recorded an interview with the former US President for an upcoming segment on Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme, and in a sneak preview Harry was heard joking that he would warn Obama with a mock stare if he needed the 56-year-old politician to keep speaking.
In a video preview of their chat released on the Kensington Palace Twitter account, Obama said: "Do I have to speak faster? Because I’m a slow speaker. Do I need a British accent?"
Harry replied: "Not at all … but if you start using long pauses between the answers you’re probably going to get the face."
Obama responded: "Let me see the face."
Harry then put on a mock stare and Obama laughed, saying: "Oh OK, I don’t want to see that face."
The flame-haired royal then returned to serious mode and explained some details about their interview.
He said: "As you know for the 40 minutes it’s going to be a 20-minute package for the BBC for Christmas. We hope to use the whole thing as a podcast afterwards."
Obama replied: "It’s going to be fine … excellent."
Harry then admitted he was "nervous" about interviewing Obama.
He said: "You’re excited about this, I’m nervous. That’s what’s quite funny."
Obama offered him a way out, saying: "I’ll interview you if you want?"
But Harry politely declined.
He added: "No, no. Let’s keep it this way, I’d much prefer that."
Harry will be the guest editor of the ‘Today’ show – Radio 4’s early morning news and current affairs programme – on December 27 when his interview with Obama will be broadcast.
A tweet on the official Kensington Palace account stated: "Prince Harry’s guest editorship of @BBCRadio4 Today programme on the 27th December will feature an interview with former US President @BarackObama. The interview focuses on their shared interest in building platforms for the next generation of young leaders.
"The conversation with @BarackObama includes his memories of the day he left office and his hopes for his post-presidential life, including his plans to focus on cultivating the next generation of leadership through the @ObamaFoundation.(sic)"
