Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are ‘vulnerable’

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are "bruised and vulnerable" – according to Tom Bradby, who interviewed the pair for a recent documentary.
Tom joined the royal couple on their recent tour of Africa and sat down with them for an interview as part of the ITV documentary ‘Harry & Meghan: An African Journey’, which aired over the weekend.
And now, the journalist has said he could tell things weren’t "entirely rosy" for Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, as they each dealt with the mounting pressures of their trip.
Tom explained in an interview with ‘Good Morning America’: "I knew that everything wasn’t entirely rosy behind the scenes, that’s true. But all the same, I had intended to turn up, probably doing a more conventional journalistic job. The reality I found was a couple that seemed just a bit bruised and vulnerable.
"I knew that things weren’t entirely brilliant behind the scenes. It built as the tour went on really."
In the documentary, Harry reveals that visiting many of the places his late mother Princess Diana – who passed away in 1997 – had been to through their tour of the continent brought back difficult memories for him, whilst former actress Meghan has recently been candid about the mounting pressures of royal life since marrying Harry last year.
Tom added: "After those I said, ‘Listen, let’s go out and tell the truth as you see it and whatever happens, happens.’ I will say one thing about Harry, he’s always been one of those people if you ask him an honest question in private or in public, he will tend to give you an honest answer for better or for worse."
And the journalist hopes the documentary will encourage fans and members of the public to "give them a little bit of space."
