Prince Harry admits he is trying to fill his mother’s shoes

Britain’s Prince Harry admits he is subconsciously trying to his fill his mother’s shoes.
The 31-year-old royal – whose mother, Prince Diana, died in a car accident in Paris, France in 1997 – has confessed that although he is not conscious of it, a part of him is forever trying to fulfil his mother’s ambition of helping less fortunate people in a jovial way.
He reflected: "What you see is what you get with me. It’s genuine. I will always try to bring an element of fun and happiness to everything I do. That probably is subconsciously very much part of my mother – trying to fill that void. Trying to fill an unbelievable pair of boots, whether it is her … or especially the Queen. It’s a hard thing to do."
Meanwhile, the prince also rubbished suggestions he is work-shy, revealing he hates being sat at home with nothing constructive to occupy his time.
He told the Sunday Times newspaper: "There’s a lot of people out there who view the younger generation of the monarchy, [and say,] ‘Well, you’ve had a job, so why wouldn’t you have another job?’
"I thought long and hard about getting a job. I did ten years in the army – best job in the world. I wanted to be valued in society in that sense."
The prince added he feels a pressing need to be active and to be contributing towards society in some way.
Prince Harry – who walked away from his military career last year – shared: "I don’t get any satisfaction from sitting at home on my a**e – and that’s a part of the body by the way, not a swear word."
