Prince George’s first car he travelled in will be sold at an auction

The royal’s car used to transport Prince George home from the hospital is set to be auctioned off.
The Range Rover Vogue SE, which was used to ferry the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first born home from the hospital to Kensington Palace, following his birth in 2013, is set to be sold on an online auction Charity Stars, according to Hello! online.
The website described the item as: "The historic association of having served two future Kings and a future Queen is making this vehicle one of the most sought after in the history of Royal vehicles.
"It has attracted significant global interest from families expecting their first-born child, as new parents will not only be able to enjoy the luxury and prestige of the car itself, but in being a part of the royal couple’s historic story, during their "once in a life-time opportunity" to drive their baby home from hospital."
And the organisation are honoured to host the auction.
The company’s managing director, Robert Robinson, said: "Here at CharityStars.com we have now raised over £2.5 million net for a wide variety of charities and we look forward to seeing that grow and grow."
Meanwhile, it is rumoured the 4 x 4 vehicle will fetch over £150,000, which is more than double its reserve price, and profits made from the sale will be donated to charities Sun Screen IT and Stand Down, which is a military mental health charity providing support for the armed forces.
The all black car was originally supplied to the royals via Land Rover’s VIP Department, and was customised with additional features to suit the needs of the royal family.
The mode of transport was recorded to have had a total of eight bids placed on it on Monday (08.08.16) with the highest bid tallying up to almost £50,000, one third of what is expected.
