Prince George on cover of Vanity Fair

Britain’s Prince George has landed the cover of Vanity Fair.

The prestigious magazine has featured the young royal on the cover of its August 2014 issue to mark the cherubic youngster’s first birthday.

The cover is a fairly recent picture of Prince George in the arms of his mother, Duchess Catherine, while his father, Prince William, appears to dote on him.

A cover feature written by journalist Katie Nicholl, meanwhile, offers a behind-the-scenes insight into Prince George’s first 12 months, including how his parents are eager for him to have a "normal life".

A preview of the article states: "They take George to playdates at the homes of friends, among them Kate’s old Marlborough friend Alice St. John Webster, who has a baby several months older than George."

Nicholl also claims Prince William and Duchess Catherine, both 32, are already planning on another baby to join the chubby-cheeked tot.

It’s claimed, "there are rumours among the couple’s friends that they plan to try this summer".

George accompanied his parents on a royal trip to Australia and New Zealand and a senior aide tells the magazine, the prince "didn’t really suffer from jet lag — he settled down very quickly".
