Prince Charles to appear on gardening show

Britain’s Prince Charles will feature on a special edition of ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’ on Radio 4 on Friday (01.04.16).
A message on the radio show’s official Twitter account confirmed the Prince of Wales will be lighting up the airwaves on the long-running programme – which sees people send in gardening related questions for a panel to answer – tomorrow.
The tweet read: "This Friday, The Prince of Wales’s special edition of @BBCGQT will be broadcast on @BBCRadio4."
In April 2007, Charles gave an exclusive interview to the show to mark its 60th anniversary.
As well as answering co-chairman Eric Robson’s questions, the special edition also focused on organic gardening.
Speaking from his garden at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, south west England, he spoke about his passion for preserving old varieties of plants.
He said: "To me it seemed perfectly reasonable and not very revolutionary to suggest that some of these things, some of the slightly gentler approaches to the way we manage things, might be worthwhile from a long term sustainability point of view."
The 67-year-old royal also praised the show, saying: "I’m just one year younger than the programme. I can only wish the programme every possible success in the future and a very, very happy birthday.
"I know it’s a very popular programme and so many people gain endless useful information from it."
