Britain’s Prince Charles reportedly brings his own food with him to the Royal Opera.
The heir-to-the-throne has been a patron for over 40 years but is said to prefer to bring his own meals with him rather than dine on the food on offer at the Covent Garden location in London.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "When the queen comes to Covent Garden, she always enjoys the dining experience here and tends to order simple, British food from our menu. But the Prince of Wales insists on bringing his own food with him for dinner."
He has his organic meat and vegetables prepared by a chef at Clarence House.
In 1985, Prince Charlies turned part of the gardens of Highgrove House in Gloucestershire into an organic farm.
Since then, Duchy Home Farm has become a successful and viable working business as well as a flagship for the benefits of an organic and sustainable form of agriculture.
Ingredients grown at the Home Farm are used in Duchy Originals products which sells everything from milk and pork to barley and grain.
The farm also supplies vegetables to restaurants, supermarkets, and local schools.
