Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla learn to forage

Britain’s Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have received a foraging lesson.

TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall showed the royal couple around the grounds of the famous River Cottage, located in Axminster, Devon, much to Camilla’s delight earlier today (15.07.14).

The Duchess of Cornwall appeared giddy as Hugh, 49, took them on a tour of the location – a source of ethically produced food ingredients – which was preceded by him teaching them how to forage for food.

Hugh has a lot in common with Prince Charles, 66, as both are staunch supporters of organic farming.

The chef is quoted by the Dorset Echo newspaper as saying: "I have long admired and been grateful for the prince’s tireless support for sustainable agriculture and artisan food producers, and it was an absolute honour to welcome Their Royal Highnesses to our busy HQ.

"I was very proud to be able to show off our amazing operation and our brilliantly talented team."

Later today, the royals are expected to enjoy a meal at the River Cottage Canteen, which serves up food from Hugh’s farm.

The visit comes on the second day of Charles and Camilla’s annual tour of Devon and Cornwall.
