PlayStation: The Concert announced for ‘state of the art’ world tour

Sony has announced ‘PlayStation: The Concert’ with music from its biggest games.

The tech giant is teaming up with RoadCo Entertainment, GEA Live, RG Live and Senbla for a massive world tour – including six dates in the UK – promising “state-of-the-art production” combining music, “cutting-edge visual technology” and some iconic games.

The concert will transport fans into the worlds of ‘The Last of Us’, ‘God of War’, ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ and ‘Horizon’.

It’s said the scores from Gustavo Santaolalla, Bear McCreary, Ilan Eshkeri and Joris De Man respectively will be taken to “new heights”.

The global tour – which is coming to over 200 cities across Europe, the UK, the United States and beyond – will kick off on April 15, 2025 with a world premiere in Dublin, Ireland.

That month, the concert heads to the UK with shows in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow, plus a date at London’s OVO Arena Wembley.

In a press release, organisers promised “an innovative multi-screen design, combining advanced LED and projection technologies”.

These “will enhance the event and deliver the most iconic moments and imagery from these games”.

With surround sound along with “breathtaking visual and audio depth”, the concert will be an “immersive experience” helping fans relive their gaming adventures.

The tour announcement coincides with the 30th anniversary of the first PlayStation being released in Japan in December 1994.

The following year, it was released around the world, and grew into a global gaming juggernaut.

Sony added: “Now, with video game music stepping into the global spotlight, ‘PlayStation: The Concert’ is poised to redefine what a music experience can be.

“This is more than just a show; it’s the ultimate video game concert experience, embodying PlayStation’s innovative spirit and pushing the limits of what’s possible.”
