Pixie Lott leaves Strictly Come Dancing

Pixie Lott has been voted off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 23-year-old pop star was among the favourites for this year’s show, but her participation was ended after she lost the dance-off against former Blue singer Simon Webbe.

Speaking after her exit was confirmed, the blonde beauty reflected: "It is a shame, I was really looking forward to learning more dances."

Although Pixie scored 35 points with her cha cha routine on Saturday evening (06.12.14), head judge Len Goodman opted to keep Simon in the competition.

However, Pixie – whose professional partner was Trent Whiddon – insisted she didn’t blame Len for his ballroom preference.

She shared: "What’s done is done. You can’t really say, ‘I wish this or that had happened’. At the end of the day, it’s Len’s decision and he voted for the dance that he liked the most.

"Trent and I just did our best and made sure we enjoyed our last dance – that’s all you can do in that situation."

The ‘Mama Do’ singer, who revealed she now plans to return to the recording studio, has pledged to learn the two dances she missed due to her exit.

She said: "I hope I can keep dancing in the future. I’m thinking that in my next music video I’m going to get Trent to choreograph the routine so I get to do a bit of American Smooth and salsa."
