Piers Morgan mocks weather girl caught in rainstorm

Piers Morgan has mocked weather girl Laura Tobin for getting caught in a rainstorm.

The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter poked fun at his co-star Laura after she failed to predict the weather forecast before heading out for a picnic with her husband, which ended with the pair running back to their car through the summer showers.

She shared a snap of herself looking like a "drowned rat" on Twitter with the caption: "Note to self-Listen to your own forecast! #DrownedRat #run (sic)"

And Piers decided to raise the issue with the forecaster during her segment on Tuesday (16.06.20).

He teased: "I always assume that because you’re such an expert that you would never get caught in a rainstorm.

"And why would you? You’re such an expert you would know there was a rainstorm coming…"

Defending her decision, Laura quipped: "I did the same thing that every normal non-weather person does, ‘Right we’ve finished work let’s go out, let’s take our chairs and picnic blanket…’

"And then we sat there and the breeze picked up… ‘And I was like, ‘Oh no,’ I picked up my phone and looked at the radar and there were loads of showers coming."

The 38-year-old meteorologist explained how her husband Dean was the one who was determined the weather wouldn’t turn, but Laura soon saw the clouds set in.

Despite this, Piers wasn’t letting her get away with her blunder and he told Laura to check the forecast before she leaves the house next time.

He continued: "Oh poor old Dean, fancy him not knowing there was a rain shower coming, Dean, shame on you.

"Next time you should look at the forecast, the whole point of you is you’re supposed to forecast."
