Piers Morgan is ‘no show’ for Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan didn’t turn up to present ‘Good Morning Britain’ today (18.10.17).
The outspoken journalist usually hosts the breakfast show alongside Susanna Reid from Monday through until Wednesday – having Thursday and Friday off – each week, but fans were left puzzled this morning when he failed to turn up to work and producers swiftly brought in Richard Madeley as his temporarily replacement.
Susanna, 46, didn’t given too much information regarding Piers’ absence but revealed that he would be taking "a few days off" and she was looking forward to working with Richard, who filled in for Piers over the summer holidays.
She said: "Apparently I said I want Piers out. And he might have taken that personally, because he’s not here today! Even though it’s Wednesday."
She then turned to Richard and said: "It is fantastic to be working with you. I also thought how amazing it is to be working with the legend that is Richard Madeley."
Piers – who is usually very vocal on social media – is yet to comment on his absence.
However, he was left in agony just over a month ago after cracking his ribs after a fall.
Revealing his injury on his Twitter account, he posted: "BREAKING (literally…) NEWS: I’ve broken 3 ribs falling flat on my a**e. Thanks to @ChelwestFT staff for speedy treatment. (sic)"
Piers has a history of rib injuries and previously broke one of his bones back in December 2013 when the keen cricket fan faced a barrage of six deliveries from Australian fast bowler Brett Lee for a TV segment on Sky Sports.
