Phoebe Waller-Bridge to play Doctor Who?

Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been tipped to take over the role of Doctor Who.
The 31-year-old actress – who stars in BBC comedy ‘Fleabag’ – has reportedly impressed TV bosses with her skills and they are keen to offer her the role of the TimeLord when Peter Capaldi departs.
A source told The Sunday People: "Beeb bosses love Phoebe. They thought she did an amazing job with ‘Fleabag’ and is certainly one of the rising stars in TV and film.
"They see her as the perfect fit as a Time Lord and the first female Doctor Who."
Meanwhile, Karen Gillan recently backed Dame Helen Mirren to be the new Doctor Who.
The 29-year-old actress starred as Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith’s companion Amy Pond in three seasons of the BBC sci-fi show and now Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi is departing the TARDIS at the end of this year she thinks Helen, 71, would be the perfect choice to play the Time Traveller.
When asked who the next Doctor should be, she replied: "Helen Mirren, a woman. I really would like it to be a woman just because so many people have questioned whether a woman can play the role, I think that’s completely ridiculous, of course an actress can play the role, it’s not really bound by gender."
And Karen was also impressed with Phoebe as a potential candidate.
She said: "Phoebe Waller-Bridge would be great."
Karen is not the only ‘Doctor Who’ alumni who has backed a woman in the TARDIS, with Tenth Doctor David Tennant, Eighth Doctor Paul McGann and Capaldi insisting the right actress could easily take on the iconic role.
