Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby announce This Morning break

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will take their break after tomorrow’s (10.07.20) episode of ‘This Morning’.

The presenting duo – who are preparing for their usual summer holidays – revealed Friday will be their final appearance before their brief hiatus, and they can’t believe how quickly the date sneaked up on them.

Speaking during Thursday’s episode about their disbelief at already being in the middle of July, Holly said: "Oh it’s just Friday 10 July [is tomorrow].

"Like, doesn’t it sometimes freak you out that we’re in July? This year has just, like – it’s the 10th July guys!"

Phillip agreed, as he admitted: "I don’t know what day it is, I don’t know what month it is, we’re just sort of plodding along."

He also confirmed July 10 is their "last day", adding: "And is that because it’s the last day?"

Holly cheerily replied: "And it’s our last day!"

Earlier this week, Phil hinted at the pair’s upcoming break as he decided to double the £1,000 cash prize of one viewer.

He quipped: "We’re off for the summer on Friday so they can’t sack me!"

The duo will be gone until September, with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford set to fill their shoes in the coming weeks.

ITV bosses have confirmed that the married couple will replace the pair during their summer break, with guest presenters taking over on Fridays.

Last Friday (03.07.20), Eamonn and Ruth revealed they were taking a short break of their own before settling into the hot seat.

Eamonn said: "Thank you for watching, we’ll be back doing this all over again for the summer, in a couple of weeks."
