Phil Tufnell and Dom Parker have been eliminated from ‘The Jump’.
The 48-year-old cricketer and 50-year-old star of observational documentary series ‘Gogglebox’ are the first celebrities to have been removed from the winter sports competition after losing their respective events in this evening’s programme (01.02.15).
Phil was beaten by just 0.05 seconds by ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Joey Essex in the skeleton event before failing to beat former English rugby player Mike Tindall’s distance as they competed in a final ski jump.
On discovering he had been knocked out of the Channel 4 programme during the first show, Phil revealed he found the whole experience to be extremely frightening.
Speaking to host Davina McCall he said: "I’ve had a great time… not really it’s been terrifying!"
In the second round, Dom fought against ‘Jackass’ star Steve-O in the skeleton and lost out leading to another live ski jump against 28-year-old ex-JLS member, JB Gill.
After performing the stunt, Dom told Davina, "He’s got it in the bag, hasn’t he!" before it was revealed he had only managed to travel a distance of nine metres while JB had landed a 14.5 metre stunt.
The second episode of the terrifying show – which is being broadcast from Innsbruck in Austria – will air tomorrow evening (02.02.15), and will see the female contestants, Ashley Roberts, Chloe Madeley, Heather Mills, Jodie Kidd, Louise Hazel, Louise Thompson, Stacey Solomon and Lady Victoria Hervey battle to keep their places in the competition.
