Petra Ecclestone Stunt selling mansion for $200m

Petra Ecclestone Stunt has put her mansion on the market for $200 million.
The 27-year-old fashion designer has decided it’s time to sell her massive Los Angeles home, and she’s set the starting price very high.
The 56,000-square-foot home is set on 4.7 landscaped acres in the Holmby Hills neighbourhood, and was originally custom built in the late 1980s for the late television producer Aaron Spelling – the father of Tori Spelling.
When it was built, the property spanned over 100 rooms, including a flower cutting room, a humidity controlled silver storage closet, a barbershop, and a doll museum.
Petra bought the property in 2011 from Aaron’s widow Candy Spelling for $85 million, and the $115 million mark up on the property comes after the heiress engaged the services of Gavin Brodin – a builder and designer based in LA – to help update the interior.
Now, the property boasts a professional screening room, a two-lane bowling alley, and a wine cellar with separate tasting room. There’s also a gym and full spa facilities complete with tanning salon and beauty salon.
In addition to the six en-suite guest bedrooms, the lavish home offers an extensive service wing with five staff bedrooms and two butler’s suites. The owner’s complex itself is almost three times the size of the average American home, and incorporates a private kitchen, living room, dual bathrooms, and two-storey dressing room.
According to property listings, the mansion includes a whopping total of 27 bathrooms.
The grounds on the property are carefully groomed, and include facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, and extensive formal gardens. In covered parking alone there is enough room for 16 cars, with space to park another 100 cars along the wide driveway and the motor court outside the house.
Petra and her billionaire husband James Stunt decided to sell their luxurious home as their children – Lavinia, three, and twins James Jr. and Andrew, one – attend school in London and so the family rarely spends time in Los Angeles.
